We all love our cats and dogs, but that pet hair can be a challenge to remove from surfaces in the home. There are several ways to remove it.

First, use a damp sponge. Wring it out in cool water and rub over the fabric on upholstery and other areas. Keep the sponge clean and rinsed and wipe until hair is gone. Remember, the sponge should only be damp.

You can also put on a pair of rubber gloves and rub them over any surface with cat or dog hair. Keep them rinsed off as you go.

You can purchase a large brick eraser-type sponge called a Soot and Dirt Removal Sponge. This is used dry to clean dirt, soot and hair off of hard surfaces and fabrics. Simply rub it over the area and it will pick up the hair. The sponge is always used dry, but may be washed and allowed to air dry to keep it clean.

You can also use a used dryer softener sheet. Wipe it over the surface to remove the pet hair.

I have found a product, available on Amazon, that is really good.

ChomChom Roller removes the pet hair, without using sticky tape or pads, and captures it in a dust bin so you can throw it out.

Simply roll it back and forth and sideways over any upholstery, car interior, bedding, clothes, or any fabric. The hair is captured in the dust bin and you can dispose, by dumping in the trash. I was doubtful, but it worked really well.
