During the pandemic and lockdown I didn’t want to go to the grocery store every week so I started using my FoodSaver™ more often to wrap foods I wanted to freeze. I have had it a long time but I really gave it a work out in the last few months.

The purpose of the FoodSaver is to allow you to safely store food in the freezer without affecting the quality, and flavor of the food, or causing freezer burn and ice crystals to form on it.

What can you put in the FoodSaver? Anything that won’t be crushed as the air is vacuumed out. I even freeze cupcakes, muffins and similar foods individually and then group them by meal in the food saver. They will last months in the freezer. Cheese can be safely stored and many other things.

You can take advantage of sales at the grocery store and never worry about meat, and other things you bought, being ruined in the freezer. It’s a money saver and it’s easy.

FoodSaver™ keeps food fresh in the freezer up to 5x longer, compared to ordinary storage methods, allowing you to save $$. Other methods trap air, affecting the food’s nutritional value, flavor, and overall quality. But the FoodSaver vacuum system removes most of the air from the sealed container, extending the life of food.

It is simple to use. Select the size bag you will need. Cut it and seal the bottom. Put the food in it and seal the bag. It vacuums out the air for a tight seal and seals the bag. Label it, and into the freezer it goes.

It is a simple process and I have used meat that got lost in the bottom of the freezer more than a year after I sealed it. It was perfect.

DOES IT WORK? Yes! It is well worth the investment.
