What SURFACES should you DISINFECT for the CORONAVIRUS
CORONAVIRUS – WHAT SURFACES SHOULD YOU DISINFECT – As seen on 3TV/Phoenix – Good Morning Arizona – Monday, March 23, 2020 – 8:45am
The CDC defines cleaning as, removing germs, dirt and impurities from surfaces. This does not kill germs, but by removing them, it lowers their numbers and the risk of spreading infection
Disinfecting is interrupting and killing germs, bacteria, viruses etc.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates the Coronavirus could be viable for hours to days. In the air, probably 3 hours, on hard surfaces 3 – 9 days. You will pick up more of the virus from hard surfaces than soft, like clothing, upholstery etc.
