Mineral-like ingredients, such as potassium bicarbonate and potassium sulfate, are what make club soda great for all sorts of uses around the home.

Club soda is widely used as an all-purpose cleaning solution because of its great stain-removing powers. Give some of these ideas a try. Remember, use the cheapest club soda you can find! Don’t forget to check out the $$$ Store.

Replace your glass cleaner with club soda. Use on glass surfaces, windows, mirrors, and car windshields. Spray and wipe.

Jewelry can become tarnished and dull over time. Make your silver and other jewelry shine with one simple trick. All you have to do is soak your jewelry in a cup of soda water for a few minutes. Voila! It’s like your jewelry is brand new again.

Soak diamonds, rubies, sapphires, and other hard stones in club soda to give them a bright sheen. Simply place them in a glass full of club soda and let them soak a few hours. Not for use on soft stones such as emeralds or pearls.

Stainless Steel: Spray with club soda. Wipe. Rinse with warm water. Buff with a microfiber cloth.

Mix club soda with salt and clean the inside of the refrigerator and freezer. Use about 1 cup soda and ½ teaspoon salt.

Clean pots and cast iron pans by pouring some club soda in while pan is still hot. Rinse and wipe clean when pan cools.

Counter tops: Spray on club soda and wipe with microfiber cloth.

Carpet stains: Before you reach for the carpet spotter, spray club soda on the stain once you have removed any solids. Blot and repeat until the stain is gone. Finish by blotting well. The carbonation in club soda bubbles the stain to the surface and the salts in it help to keep it from staining.
Don’t throw out that leftover club soda. Use it to water your indoor and outdoor plants. The minerals in the soda water help green plants grow. For maximum benefit, try to water your plants with club soda about once a week.

Did you spill your coffee? Just use a little club soda to clean it up. After the spill, use a dry cloth to soak up as much of the spill as possible. Then, pour some club soda over the stain. Blot and repeat until the stain has been lifted. You can use this on clothes too or on auto interior. Keep some handy for a quick clean up before it can stain. If you eat at your desk make sure you have a small bottle stashed in your desk for an emergency.
