How to:

  1. Shoes smell because of bacteria the breeds in the hot warm environment of your shoes.
  2. To remove the odor, try one of these things.
  3. Hydrogen Peroxide - This is a disinfectant that is far less harmful than a chemical like bleach that can be found at any grocery store.
  4. Put it in a spray bottle and spritz the inside of your shoes and let dry
  5. You can also use a cotton ball, sponge or toothbrush and rub the entire inside of your shoe with hydrogen peroxide, concentrating on breaking up anything you can see that is not naturally a part of the shoe. If you get a little overzealous, dry off the extra liquid with a rag.
  6. Tea Tree Oil Tea Tree Essential Oil also works well. It’s great for fungal infections and getting rid of athlete’s foot.
  7. Sprayed in your shoes, it will kill the bacteria that causes the odor. Spray it in lightly and allow it to dry before wearing the shoes.
