How to:
- Trying to take a casserole to a party can end in disaster when it spills. This easy hack will keep that from happening.
- Select a dish with handles and a lid to cook in.
- Once the casserole is ready for transport, place the lid on it.
- Take 2 sturdy large rubber bands and hook one rubber band around the knob on top of the lid.
- Stretch it around the handle on one side of the casserole.
- Repeat the same procedue with the other rubber band hooking it around the handle on the other side.
- The rubber bands will keep the lid firmly in place with no spills.

I have found this works great when taking a crock pot anywhere. I often cook in one pan and then move the food to my crockpot to transport. This allows me to simply plug it in when I get there to keep the food warm.
