How to remove grease from fabrics with something you probably use most days

How to:

  1. Lay the fabric out so you can clearly see the grease spot
  2. Spray the spot with hairspray. Apply it heavily and cover the entire spot
  3. Shake on baby powder, talc or cornstarch and rub it in slightly
  4. Add a little more powder to the surface
  5. Let this sit about 15 to 30 minutes
  6. Launder as usual
  7. Do not put in the dryer until you are certain the grease is gone

Linda Says:

This works best on a fresh grease stain. If it is an old stain, or this does not remove it, please check out the other tips on grease removal

Why It Works:

The alcohol in the hairspray breaks up the grease and the powder absorbs it.
