Rust on Countertops

What you need:

  • Cream of Tartar
  • Lemon Juice or Hydrogen Peroxide
  • OR
  • Queen of Clean Cookware Powder Cleaner

How to:

  1. This works on Formica, plastic laminates, etc.
  2. Make a paste of Cream of Tartar and Lemon Juice or Hydrogen Peroxide
  3. Apply to the rust spot, and allow to sit for about 30 minutes
  4. Scrub with a a nylon-type scrubbing sponge
  5. Rinse
  6. Dry
  7. Repeat the process if needed
  8. If using Queen of Clean Cookware Powder Cleaner:
  9. Wet the rust
  10. Put the powder cleaner on and rub gently with a paper towel. It will remove it almost immediately. Won't scratch
  11. Rinse and Dry
