Polishing Marble
About this Tip:
This is the correct way to polish marble. If you use strong chemicals or products not made for porous stone you will ruin the marble.

How to:
- Crush up some white blackboard chalk until it is a fine powder. This will be used to shine the marble
- Dampen a microfiber cloth and dip into the chalk powder. Continue to dip into the powder and apply as needed
- Wipe the marble down in long, overlapping strokes. Make sure you wipe in straight strokes, working only with the grain. Do not work in circles
- Rinse the marble with cool water. Use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe off all traces of chalk
Warnings & Cautions:
Do not use cleaning powders, cleansers or anything else that could scratch the marble

This is a good time to seal the marble. Go to your home center or a store that sells marble and get a sealer that is designed specifically for marble
Why It Works:
Chalk is a very fine pumice that will polish without scratching
