Cleaning steel, silver, gold and pewter
How to:
- Make a paste of equal parts salt, flour and white vinegar. Make enough to cover the piece(s) you are working on
- Using a rag or pad of paper towels work the paste into the metal. Be sure to rub, working it in well
- Allow the paste to remain on the metal for one hour
- Rinse and dry
Why It Works:
The combination of the salt and vinegar remove the tarnish and soiling and the flour polishes the piece
