Making your own natural air freshener in minutes

How to:

  1. Basic Recipe:
  2. 3/4 - Cup cold water, tap, bottled, or distilled
  3. 2 - Tablespoons vodka or rubbing alcohol
  4. Your choice of essential oils for fragrance. You can use less expensie oils for this since you aren't ingesting them
  5. Combine in a measuring cup and fill spray bottle(s)of your choosing
  6. Suggested Fragrances:
  7. Citrus Mint Air Freshener: Use 10 drops of wild orage esential oil and 8 drops of peppermint.
  8. Summer Citrus Air Freshener: Use 5 drops of each or these essentail oils. Wild orange, lemon, lime, and grapefruit
  9. Deodorizing Air Freshener: 4 drops Tea Tree essential oil, 8 drops lemon, 6 drops eucalyptus. Tea Tree Oil is an anti-bacteria oil so great for this purpose
  10. Shake prior to use

I like to use a misting- style spray bottle for this. The vodka or alcohol in the recipe helps the essential oils and water mix more thoroughly and helps the air freshener dry faster as it is sprayed I prefer using cheap vodka because there is no odor to it.
