How to sharpen your own scissors

How to sharpen your own scissors

How to:

  1. Fold a piece or aluminum foil in half and cut through the folded piece 10 to 20 times. This will remove barbs and rough edges on the scissor blades
  2. Do you have gouges or big nicks in the blades? Do the same thing except replace the aluminum foil with sandpaper. The finer the grit on the paper, the smoother your blades will be
  3. Now wipe the scissors down with a wet paper towel and you are good to go.

Why It Works:

Once you remove barbs, nicks and rough spots the blades will be smooth and cut better. Use on any scissors.
