Cleaning Soap Scum and Mildew Off Plastic Shower Curtains and Liners

What you need:

  • Washing Machine
  • White Vinegar
  • Liquid Detergent
  • Several old light colored towels

How to:

  1. Take the plastic curtain/liner down
  2. Put it in the washing machine
  3. Add 1 - Cup of White Vinegar directly in the machine
  4. Add 1/4 - to 1/2 Cup - Liquid laundry detergent in dispenser or directly in to the machine
  5. Add the towels
  6. Fill washer with warm water
  7. Run through complete normal wash and rinse cycle
  8. Remove the curtain from the washer as soon as possible
  9. Hang back on the shower rod spreading it out to dry

Why It Works:

The vinegar and detergent provide the cleaning power and the towels provide abrasion to remove the soap scum and mold.
