Cleaning Porcelain Tubs

What you need:

  • Powdered Alum
  • Lemon Juice - fresh or bottled
  • Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Sponge

How to:

  1. Combine:
  2. Powdered Alum
  3. Lemon Juice
  4. This mixture should be the consistency of white school glue
  5. Rub well, as if using cleanser, with a sponge or scrubbing sponge
  6. Let it dry on the tub
  7. Moisten with lemon juice and rub again with sponge
  8. Rinse well

Find powdered alum at the drug store. If you have trouble finding alum you can substitute 20 Mule Team Borax, which is found in the laundry aisle at the grocery store. Queen of Clean Extreme Tub and Tile Cleaner will do a great job on porcelain. For more difficult stains, use Queen of Clean Toilet, Tub & Sink Powdered Cleaner. Safe and natural but nothing cleans better!
