Cleaning Food Spills Off Bottom of Oven

What you need:

  • A lemon
  • Oven-safe bowl or cake pan
  • Micro fiber cloth
  • Scrubbing sponge
  • Water

How to:

  1. Cut a lemon in half and rub the halves firmly all over the bottom of the oven
  2. Preheat the oven to 250 Degrees
  3. Place the bowl or cake pan, filled with hot tap water, on the top rack
  4. Cut 2 more lemons in half and place them on the top rack with the water bowl
  5. Close the oven door
  6. Wait an hour and then shut off the oven
  7. Open the door and allow the oven to cool until cool enough to touch
  8. Use a damp micro fiber cloth to wipe down the door and the inside
  9. Touch spots? Rub with a scurbbing sponge

Why It Works:

As the water heats up, the resulting steam and lemon will help soften stuck-on mess.
